1st Marina Gouiva
We start in Marina Gouvia, about 20 minutes north of the airport. The marina is equipped with all amenities, a supermarket offers a delivery service to the ship. If you find it too hectic to sail on Sunday in the big marina, you can try to get a place in Mandraki harbour, below the old Venetian fortress. From there you can quickly reach the town centre with its many tavernas and restaurants.
2 Plataria 29 nm
From Corfu, we first head towards the mainland on the west coast - to Plataria to be precise. One of the places that has profited enormously from the sailing tourism boom of the last 35 years and it has grown more and more. Here, south of the marina, you will find a large beach where you can spend the afternoon. There are numerous restaurants close to the marina, and the local bakery invites you to stock up on provisions.
3 Parga 23 nm
Further south lies Parga, where you can anchor or moor at one of the small piers. A charming little town with about 2500 inhabitants offers two highlights that are worth seeing. The first is the fort built by the Venetians. Well preserved, it sits enthroned on a small headland and invites you to take a trip back in time. We also find a famous olive oil factory here. Here you can taste the local product and learn all kinds of interesting facts about its production.
4 Paxos (Lakka) 15 nm
From Parga we set course for Paxos, more precisely for Lakka. Soon the island appears on the horizon, the bay of Lakka is in the north. A beautiful, but also very popular anchorage, the early bird catches the worm here. For years, Paxos was known for its very small but very aromatic olives, but today tourism plays the predominant role. The gastronomic offer is also extremely varied: everyone is sure to find a suitable taverna or restaurant here.
5 Syvota 14 nm
Syvota lies in a north-easterly direction. The harbour promenade with its many bars and restaurants is an excellent place to spend the night. The beaches around Syvota offer plenty of space for relaxation. For snorkelling, the Blue Lagoon Beach on the westernmost of the offshore islands is recommended: crystal-clear water and ideal conditions for exploring the world beneath the water's surface.
6 Corfu (Petriti) 14 nm
After four days, today we return to the island of Corfu, more precisely to the east coast. Here the small, somewhat sleepy fishing village of Petriti awaits. Its plus point: one of the few villages on this coast with a sandy beach. The shallow water offers excellent conditions for swimming, snorkelling, SUP and kayaking. Best to anchor, dinghy ashore and enjoy fresh fish in the local tavernas.
7 Marina Gouvia: 20 nm
We are heading back towards Marina Gouvia: it's a pity, the sailing trip is coming to an end on our way north. A short stop at Mandraki Marina is a good idea, one last detour into the heart of Corfu Town. Later, in Marina Gouvia, you should end the trip in one of the restaurants that are located around and watch the hustle and bustle in the marina with a bottle of wine or two on board.
